Questions for my Child

Poem for Hudgins

You listened to my heart.
Did it tell you it beats for you?
You grew inside me.
Did you feel my hugs?
You cry for me at night.
Do you know that I miss you too?
You have the face of angel.
Did God let you pick me?
You smile at me.
This melts my heart.

I love you…

My angel...

Babies are truly heaven-sent. I looked in on Hudgins tonight and Ms. Emotional started to cry. I just feel so blessed to have him in my life. He snorts when he laughs, he "poots" when he's mad and when he smiles at me, my heart melts.

Last night, he spent the night with Sue-sue and Papa. He had a wonderful time and was quite interested in his Papa. Today he had a visit with David Carver and his lovely lady, Megan. He also got to visit with his Great-granny and his Great-granddaddy. How awesome that he gets to visit his great-grandparents. Not many people can say that.

Anyways, I love Hudgins and thank Robbie for him all the time and I thank God for Robbie. I love my family!

A baby will make love stronger, days longer, nights shorter, bankroll smaller,
home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

Our Weekend

So our weekend was jam-packed but lots of fun. It also could have been filled with stress but Jenny, Tom, Mary Stuart and Molly are ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! We had such a good time with them. Robbie said to me last night, "I miss those little girls." I think he might have a new girlfriend and her name is Molly. And Hudgins, for sure, has a new babysitter, Mary Stuart. Jenny is a wonderful mom and I got a lot of advice from her this weekend. Trust me when I say, I will be asking for a lot more. And Tom is a trip and a wonderful father. It's so entertaining to see their family in action. You will see that I have posted some pictures of Charlie and Hudgins. Amanda and I didn't know that we had actually had twin boys. 60 Minutes has already contacted us to do a special on how exactly all this happened??? Twin boys, 2 different sets of parents, God only knows. : ) No, really...Charlie and Hudgins were a trip together. Just chatting back and forth. It's the first time I've seen Hudge interact with another baby the way he did. I've posted some videos to give our family a little taste of what Christmas will be like this year...fun!!!

Well, the whole reason we invaded the Stauffer home this weekend was for my friend, Ashley's wedding. She was absolutely beautiful!!! We had a wonderful time. I survived my reading and Robbie actually danced with me once! Yay!!! A few pictures of that for you.

New Cousins...

Maggie was napping for this photo shoot but I can't wait to get all three together. It's so much fun being an aunt!!!

Look how cute! Hudgins was real interested in Charlotte's face. She was super sweet beside him in her little sleeper. And by the way, Hudge looks huge, right? And it's funny the way the flash always startles him. Loving the wide eyes...

Also the Junior Brocks had the Senior Brocks over for dinner and debate this past week. Some cute pics from that night...

Here's some pics of Hudgins trying some green beans. He loves his baby food and is getting so good with the spoon. Also one of him and his good buddy, Sophie and one of my budget friendly centerpieces for fall. : )

3.2 lbs lighter

Today I weighed in and lost the most to date this week. I worked really hard and was glad to see it paid off! Soup and exercise... So far, I've lost 7.4 lbs in 3 weeks. Pretty awesome, huh? I am quite proud of myself, can you tell?
